#1. Roses live twice as long if you put half an aspirin in the water
Ever heard of this one? It sounds totally weird, but guess what? It actually works!

Aspirin can help prevent decay, and preserves chrysanthemums, carnations, gladioli, and roses. But be aware that this trick doesn't work on all flowers. Daffodils do better with a pinch of salt added to their water. As for dahlias? Try some vinegar.
