Rabbi Bentzion Groner, alongside his wife, Rochel, were coming back from a trip to Israel when a young boy with autism began to have a meltdown. The 8 hour connecting flight from Europe would be a long one, made longer still by the loud and anxious tirade of the young boy. He showed no signs of stopping, and although the passengers around him sat quietly and didn’t object, it was clear that tensions were rising.

The Groner’s run an organization called ZABS Place – a boutique shop and training center for young adults with disabilities.

15 minutes into the young autistic boy’s tantrum, Rochel rose and walked over to his parents, asking if she could lend a hand.
Rochel then spent the next few hours in the bulkhead with the young boy, playing with him while seated on the floor. The boy calmed down and the passengers around her sighed with relief.
